I make books from found items and run a table at the Hymie’s Street Fair on Record Store Day on Lake St in Minneapolis, MN. I encourage, work with, give space to people to support spontaneous poetry writing. The books populate the Little Poetry Library. The Little Library is a free lending library where people can take and leave books of poetry. More people take than leave poetry. You can read my essay about doing this in Rumpus.
Carolyn Williams Noren is the librarian and creator of the Library. She is also an amazing poet and essayist.
I am thinking about new ways of engaging the public in poetry and hope to try them out at Open Streets.
